FPJ Interim Editors in Chief
FPS members Steve Quarles, University of California Cooperative Extension, and Jan Wiedenbeck, USDA Forest Service, are serving as co-Interim Editors in Chief for the Forest Products Journal. Together, Steve and Jan are overseeing the peer review process and assisting with the transition to a long-term volunteer Editor structure for the Journal. We are grateful for their willingness to help out during this important evolution period for the Journal.

FPJ Process Update
Improvements we are making to implement a fully electronic submission and review process, transition to a volunteer Editor structure, and transition to a new publisher (announced in the November 25th eUpdate) have pushed back our timetable for publication of the remaining 2009 issues and the early 2010 issues.

As a non-profit organization, the Forest Products Society accepts tax-deductible contributions. Next year is shaping up to be a very important one for our Society as we continue our discussions with members, reorganize, and prepare strategic goals for continued growth. Your contributions will help us make progress on these activities.

Canadian Wood Council - President Job Announcement
The Canadian Wood Council (CWC) represents the Canadian wood products industry on a national basis
President, based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
The board of CWC is searching for a new President to oversee a budget of 8 million and a staff of 16. The President assists the board in the development of strategy and is then responsible for the implementation of strategy.
